Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. There were plenty of early fireworks at Yankee Stadium on Friday. In their first game of a three-game set against the Tampa Bay Rays, the Yanks sent a Tex message and fired of the McCannon! It was a walk off 7-5 victory in eleven innings and the first such win for the Pinstripes since one Derek Sanderson Jeter turned the trick in the 2014 home finale.

During the eighth, Mark Teixeira got the Yankees off the mat. With New York down 3-0, Tex smashed a three-run homer into the second deck in right, of Kevin Jepsen. Hitting the 20 home run plateau, Tex’s torpedo was the equalizer.

Jumping to the eleventh, with the Yankees trailing again, 5-4, Brian McCann mashed a three-run rocket to right. It was home run number 13 on the season for McCann, a walk off bash, off Steven Geltz, sending Yanks fans home happy.
