Due in part to an anemic offense that was only able to muster up five hits total in the game, C.C. Sabathia suffered his first loss last night as the Yankees fell to the Orioles by a score of 5-2.
The Yankees are on the road again tonight as they stop in Toronto to begin another short two-game set with the Blue Jays. Hiroki Kuroda will start for tonight for New York and will try to repeat his success he had in his last outing. It seems as though he has trouble duplicating solid performances this year though, never winning back to back starts yet, Kuroda will attempt to change that tonight.
The bomber’s batting order will face Kyle Drabek for the Blue Jays. He’s been struggling in May and hasn’t won a decision since his first two starts. It’ll be a good opportunity for the Yankees to pick it up plate and keep Drabek’s slide going.
In their first meeting of the season with the Blue Jays, the Yankees will look to grab these two games on the road and attempt to widen the gap a little between the two in the division standings as Toronto isn’t far behind.
