Yankees Game 38 Lineup: 05/17/12

Phil Hughes will try to duplicate the success of his last start, as he takes the mound again tonight in Toronto

Last night the Yankees suffered another disappointing loss as the Yankees went down to Toronto, 8-1. Once again the offensive unit was kept quiet, wile Hiroki Kuroda struggled on the mound and the Blue Jays took advantage with the long ball.

Tonight the Yankees will try to bounce back and take game two to split this road series before they head back to the Bronx for a weekend of inter-league play.

Phil Hughes will take the mound for the Yankees tonight, coming off of his best performance of the season in his last start, going 7.2 innings in a 6-2 win over the Seattle Mariners. Still having a lot to prove, Hughes needs another successful outing tonight to keep the Yankees in the game.

Starting for the Blue Jays is the young righty, Drew Hutchison, who just made his Major League debut at the end of April. He’s giving up a lot of hits and runs to start his career, but seems to be settling down as the season goes on. The Yankees need to take advantage of his inexperience and lock in quick to get him rattled.
