Yankees avoided arbitration with OF Brett Gardner by agreeing to a one-year contract. Gardner coming off only 16 games in 2012 should enter the 2013 camp completely healthy and ready to play and everyday OF position. Depending on what happens with the Granderson trade market, Gardner could be a good bet for starting in CF for the Yankees in 2013. We are all expecting big things upon Gardner’s full return to the Yankees lineup and hopeful that the developing hitter with top level speed can remain healthy for a full season.
