When the Yankees hired Aaron Boone, a guy with no managerial experience who had been a former broadcaster, one thing we heard was that he’d been training for the job his whole life because baseball runs through his family tree. That couldn’t be more evident in the video below.

Boone, decked out in an Angels uniform, tries out his broadcasting chops before a game sometime in the early or mid 80’s, when his father, Bob, played for California. Boone is a natural, and it’s pretty cool to see him relive the moment.
