While the baseball world waits for the start of the season, we received a bit of good news surrounding Aaron Judge’s rib injury.
Aaron Judge said that his CT scan showed “slight improvement” and he will have another test in a couple of weeks. Judge also said that his pneumothorax (which was previously undisclosed) is “completely gone,” so he can fly if necessary.

Like most, I’m not a doctor. But a quick search revealed that a pneumothorax is a collapsed lung. While that sounds severe, the average recovery time after repairing the lung is only a couple of days.
The second piece of encouraging news is the slight improvement regarding the stress fracture in his ribs. It sounds like the decision to rest the injury and let it heal naturally is working. As we wait for baseball, Judge will have plenty of time to continue resting as we wait for Opening Day.
