BRONX, N.Y. — When Joe Torre speaks, you listen. Joe knows a thing or two about wearing a mask, having been a catcher for the better part of a successful 18-year playing career. Mr. T also knows a thing or two about leadership and winning, as his 12 seasons as Hall of Fame New York Yankees manager and four World Series titles will attest.
Wednesday afternoon, Torre’s leadership was on full display on Twitter, as he encouraged folks to be smart and wear a mask, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Torre even poked some fun at the size of his own schnoz, noting, “if it can fit over MY nose, none of you have an excuse.”
