Curtis Granderson achieved a feat that was only reached by one other, hitting a home run off of David Price as a lefty batter. This and a two-run single by Eduardo Nunez seemed like the oddities that indicated the tides have turned and the five-game losing streak had reached its end.
Unfortunately 6 L’s can’t be a good thing. A pair of home runs in the 6th inning, including the game-winning home run by B.J. Upton sealed the Yankees fate as they took their 6th loss in a row and have fallen one game above .500.
