Derek Jeter opened the game with a 15-pitch AB and I felt that this would have been a good sign of things to come. Unfortunately, the 15-pitch AB took longer than 4 innings that Jered Weaver pitched later in the game. This allowed Weaver to go 7 innings and he only allowed 3 hits.
Ivan Nova struggled in the beginning but showed that his efforts have continued improving as he was able to go 6 innings.
The Yankees could not create many opportunities to provide run support. Alex Rodriguez accounted for the 2 runs scored.
