Aaron Judge crushes first All-Star Game home run

All Rise!!! Aaron Judge set the tone for the 2018 All-Star Game by LAUNCHING a solo home run off hometown starter Max Scherzer in DC during the top of the second inning.

Gleyber Torres was able to capture the moment on his phone from the dugout. This moment represents the new faces of the franchise sharing an awesome moment of the best baseball has to offer.

Reports had surfaced the NL Manager Dave Roberts was planning to send out Mets’ righty Jacob DeGrom for the second inning, but he apparently chose to ride the hometown ace for a second inning. We’re so glad he did. Scherzer grooved a fastball down the middle of the plate for Judge, who jumped on the pitch and sent it soaring into the American League bullpen where it was caught by none other than Luis Severino.

For an upright version of the blast:

No matter who wins or loses this edition of the All-Star Game, the world was once again reminded of the greatness of Judge and the potential for the next great run of Yankees baseball.
