Sonny Gray’s Twitter account reportedly hacked

It has been a season to forget for Sonny Gray. Owner of a 5-6 record with a 5.44 ERA, he has received more than his fair share of displeasure from the Bronx faithful. After spotting six runs to the Red Sox in 2.1 innings and getting booed off the mound, it seems that Gray’s twitter handle was hacked on July 4.

His profile picture was removed, his tweets locked and his name changed to “caso.” According to the New York Daily News, Gray may have not been the only victim. Similar situations occurred with Logan Morrison‘s and Billy Hamilton‘s Twitter accounts on Wednesday as well. However, Gray’s account took the biggest hit.

This tweet has since been deleted and Gray’s profile picture has been changed to the default Twitter profile picture. It seems the hacker has taken his course. Gray has not been one to sugarcoat his performances this season. Although, his Twitter account just gave one massive response to all the ridicule he has endured this year.
