Missed opportunities doom Yankees

At first glance, it would be easy to point the finger at Joe Girardi for using David Robertson instead of Joba Chamberlain in the 8th inning of last nights loss to the Kansas City Royals. However, the real blame has to go to the lack of hitting with RISP. The Yankees were 2-16 with RISP last night. The only hits with RISP came from Jorge Posada and Curtis Granderson, who also hit a monster homerun for the other Yankee run. This has been a disturbing trend so far this season. It hasn’t been any one player either, it’s been a problem up and down the lineup. This has to change if the Yankees expect to accomplish Mission 28.
