12 players disciplined in Yankees / Tigers brawl
Thursday afternoon's brawl between the Yankees and Tigers was entertaining to watch. But punishments were handed down on Friday afternoon, with five suspensions and 12 fines. Embed from Getty Images Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera, Tigers pitcher Alex Wilson, Tigers manager Brad Ausmus, Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez, and Yankees back-up catcher Austin Romine were all suspended with pay. They have also been fined for their actions. Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner, Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier, Yankees infielder Garrett Cooper, Yankees manager Joe Girardi, Yankees acting manager / bench coach Rob Thomson, Yankees pitcher Tommy Kahnle, and Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias were all fined.

Sanchez and Romine have both appealed their suspensions.
