Update - Aroldis Chapman threw a bullpen session down in Tampa and everything went well. The plan is to have the closer throw a simulated game early next week and be activated from the DL barring any setbacks.

Chapman has been on the DL since August 22 with left knee tendinitis, however, the injury had bothered him most of the year. The flamethrower has converted 31 of 33 save opportunities this year while compiling a 2.11 ERA and holding opposing hitters to a mere .136 batting average.
The Yankees have struggled to consistently put wins together without the Cuban Missile. The club has gone 11-9 in Chapman's absence to date, and management hopes his return will help the team get back on track.
