Baby Bombers (feat. @PinstripedPros) - The Bronx Pinstripes Show #43
This week we recorded with @PinstripedPros to talk about the Yankees prospects and minor league system, which is the best it's been in years. We discuss high-profile prospects Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, and Jorge Mateo, if there is an attitude issue with Rob Refsnyder, what the Yankees should do with Greg Bird, and who they will be looking at to trade this offseason. We also talk about some lower-level guys that should be on everybody's radar.
We kick the episode off by talking to Rob Pimpsner about his background and how he started his website Pinstriped Prospects, why he started to write about the minor leagues, and growing up in a Mets family on Staten Island.
Rob has great insights into the Yankees prospects, including high-profile guys like Aaron Judge, Jorge Mateo, and Gary Sanchez, who just won the AFL Stars Game MVP. We also talk about lesser-known guys like Ian Clarkin, Jacob Lindgren, and Hoy Jun Park.
It seems the Yankees have tremendous depth in lower levels of the minors at the middle infield positions. We are all in agreement that this is the best the Yankees farm system has been in years, which means the organization is in a good position going forward and Cashman can get creative if he wants to trade some of the prospects.
Another talking point this season was if Rob Refsnyder had an attitude problem. In this episode we talked about the progress he made this season, the impact he had late in the year, and if the organization had issues with his "coachability."
