BP Fantasy Top 10: relief pitchers
Playing fantasy baseball this season? Well you're in luck because here are the Top Ten Relief Pitchers that will shut the door on games for your team this year.
Wade Davis, KC: Davis gets his first full shot at closing, as teammate Greg Holland is out for the season. Stepping into the closer role for the defending champions will give Davis a ton of save opportunities, which is what you want as a fantasy owner. There is so much to like with Davis, which is why he sits on top of these ranks.
Craig Kimbrel, Bos: As Kimbrel jumps to the American League, he brings with him a briefcase of success. He has been regarded as one of the game’s best closers since he grabbed the job in Atlanta. He shouldn’t have a problem getting into the 35-40 save plateau, which is why he lands near the top of our closers’ list.
Kenley Jansen, LAD: Jansen has the skills to be the top closer in fantasy baseball, and has proven that in the past. He is efficient and effective, but the major issue that dropped him down is the fact I don’t believe in the Dodgers this year. The name of the game in fantasy is opportunity- and I’m not sure Jansen will get as many as he needs to be the top guy.
