BP Fantasy Top 10: starting pitchers
Playing fantasy baseball this season? Well you're in luck because here are the Top Ten Starting Pitchers that will be anchors for your pitching rotations this summer.
Clayton Kershaw, LAD: There’s absolutely no arguing Kershaw’s place at the top of the mountain of starters in today’s game. For many, he would be at the top of all players as well. When drafting Kershaw, you are not only getting the best, you are getting someone who is reliable every year. He rarely misses starts, and his stats seem to be getting better and better. As his domination continues, you can feel safe drafting him in the first round- the only pitcher I can endorse in that round.
Max Scherzer, WAS: When Mad Max made the move to the nation’s capital, he was expected to be downright dominant. Well, he was pretty darn close outside of the amount of wins he amassed. His talent is immense, and his stats go to show that. The downside is the win-loss record, which might not be much different this season. That is a major reason why Scherzer cannot catch Kershaw.
Chris Sale, CWS: Sale is one of the most fun pitchers to watch in my humble opinion. His awkward arm motion, and arsenal of pitches make him a must-watch. Last year, after coming back from injury, Sale posted his worst ERA (3.41), which could be cause for some concern. Is he still aggravated by that injury? It remains to be seen, but it will be a question that is answered fairly quickly into the 2016 campaign.
