Brendan Ryan to Miss 5 Days
The Yankees announced that backup shortstop Brendan Ryan will miss five days after undergoing a MRI. It was revealed that Ryan has a mid-back strain. He hurt himself while lifting weights.

It is a mild setback for the veteran defensive wizard. He is battling for a spot as a backup infielder. The Yankees brought back Stephen Drew for one year and have high hopes for prospects Jose Pirela and Rob Refsnyder.
