Bronx Bombers home run alert
Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. After flushing the Royals, the Yanks were back to having trouble with a struggling AL West team. It's not what you want. Seemingly cruising along with a 3-1 lead into the sixth, it all came unraveled, as the Yankees were edged 5-4 by the Oakland Athletics.
At the plate, Brian McCann had a big game, extending his recent power surge. During the second stanza, McCann took Kendall Graveman beyond the cemetery gates, with a solo shot. The homer staked the Yanks to a 1-0 advantage. It was McCann's seventh swat of the season, his first road homer, second in as many games and third in the last four contests. McCann has 30 home runs as a Yankee and 206 on his career.
Your Bronx Bombers now boast 61 home runs on the season.
