Bronx Bombers home run alert

Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. In a 7-2 rout of the Minnesota Twins, the Yankees book ended their scoring with a pair of home runs. Chase Headley opened the scoring for New York and Stephen Drew capped it off.

With the Yankees trailing 1-0 in the fifth, Headley got the Yanks on the board with a solo shot to right, off a 1-2 pitch from Kyle Gibson. Headley's ninth of the season was the equalizer and part of a three-RBI afternoon, as the Yankees were on their way.

Further along, Drew capped off a six-run sixth with home run number 13 on the season. The two-run drive to right, off an 0-1 delivery from Ryan O'Rourke, staked the Bombers to a 7-1 advantage.
