Bronx Bombers home run alert
Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. The Yankees swatted three home runs in a 4-1 victory against the Boston Red Sox. Carlos Beltran, Greg Bird and Rob Refsnyder helped power the Bombers to their first postseason berth since 2012.

In the second, Beltran staked the Yanks to a 1-0 lead, homering off Rich Hill. The solo shot to right-center was the 19th for Beltran.
With New York ahead 2-1 in the seventh, Greg Bird launched a solo shot to right-center, off Jean Machi. Bird's eleventh home run made it 3-1.
Capping off the scoring in the eighth, Refsnyder launched a solo shot to left-center, off Heath Hembree. Refsnyder's second of the season made it 4-1 Yankees.
On the year the Bronx Bombers have 212 home runs. Wrapping up the home portion of the schedule, the Yankees hit 114 round trippers at Yankee Stadium this season.
