Bronx Bombers home run alert Gardy goes yardy!

Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. American League All-Star Brett Gardner, got the ball rolling for the Yankee offense on Wednesday afternoon. The Yankees closed out the first half of the home schedule with a 6-2 victory against the Oakland Athletics at Yankee Stadium.

In the first frame, Gardner slugged a solo shot to right, off a first pitch fastball from Jesse Chavez. Gardner's tenth of the season, gave the Yankees a 1-0 advantage. It's the second consecutive season of double digits homers for Gardner, who hit 17 last year. Gardner now has 50 home runs on his Yankee career.
