Curry: Didi Gregorius avoids arbitration

  Didi Gregorius has avoided arbitration, according to Jack Curry of the YES Network.  Gregorius' deal is worth $2.425 million. Didi, who came in as the new guy replacing the legendary Captain Derek Jeter, played well in 2015.  Gregorius finished the season batting .265, with 9 home runs and 56 RBI. Gregorius started off the season very poorly batting near the Mendoza Line, but a stellar second half raised his average to a respectable rate. It was Didi's defense that made him a standout in the Bronx, as he turned in some incredible plays at short. This is Didi's first ever arbitration-eligible agreement in his career. Late last week, Yankees avoided arbitration with Dustin Ackley and Michael Pineda. The Yankees are still trying to find the middle ground in arbitration negotiations with Ivan Nova, Aroldis Chapman and Nathan Eovaldi.
