Game 41: Sabathia Slips in the 7th

Cincinnati Reds 5 -- New York Yankees 2
One bad inning spoiled CC's start in today's 5-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
CC Sabathia entered the 7th inning with a two-run lead. Unfortunately this was the one bad inning as he gave up two solo home runs to tie the game just after getting the lead. Sabathia uncharacteristically walked three consecutive batters, including the bases-loaded walk that gave the Reds the only lead they would need to win today's battle of aces.
Johnny Cueto pitched for the Reds and scattered 8 hits through 7 innings. The only blemish on his line was a 6th inning two-run home run by Raul Ibanez, who continues to swing a hot bat. The Yankees also faced who may be the new closer for the Reds, Aroldis Chapman, best known for his 99-105MPH fastball. Chapman proceeded to pitch a hitless 9th inning including a strikeout of Andruw Jones to end the game.
Win - Johnny Cueto (5-1)
