The prized prospect has been making a name for himself early on in his big league career. He's thrust himself into the starting catchers role for the Yankees and the team has not lost a beat. New York is 11-7 in August and a big part of that is the play of Sanchez both behind the plate and at-bat. Sanchez is currently hitting .361/.409/.738 with six home runs and 12 RBIs. In only 16 games this season, Sanchez earns the Yankees first AL Player of the Week honors in 2016. He is only the second catcher in Yankees history to win the award joining former Captain, Thurman Munson, who did it twice.
