Happy birthday Mark Teixiera

They say age is just a number, and the switch-hitting Mark Teixeira is celebrating his 36th birthday today. Tex has been manning the right side of the infield in the Bronx for eight years, hitting to a .253 average with 193 of his 359 career homers. His long ball total with the Yankees is more than any other team he has played on. The gluten-free Teixeria belted 31 homers a year ago while playing in just 111 games, and is off to a good start this season. He's currently hitting .278/.381/.611 with two homers and seven RBI.
