The Yankees announced that Jose Ramirez will be sent down to the minors to make room for DePaula.

DePaula went 2-0 in three starts for the Yankees down in Scranton posting a 1.53 earned run average. He gave up 13 hits in 17.1 innings of work. The Yankees, struggling of late, need more bullpen help. However, it is a strange decision bringing up yet another left-handed pitcher in the bullpen. Ramirez was not getting the job done. In three innings of work, Ramirez gave up five runs, posting a 15.00 ERA. Facing only a one game deficit in the division, the Yankees need consistent outings from their bullpen especially with all the question marks with their rotation.
