As announced on the Yankees official Twitter page, both Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez will participate in the 2017 MLB Home Run Derby. They will look to become the first Yankee to win the Derby since Robinson Cano back in 2011. This is exciting news for the sport, as some of baseball's best power hitters have committed to participating in the derby. Along with Judge and Sanchez, Cody Bellinger, Miguel Sano and Giancarlo Stanton have announced that they will compete in the competition. Currently, Judge leads all of Major League Baseball with 27 home runs. Sanchez missed some time due to injury, but has still hit 13 homers this season. In just 53 games last season, Sanchez showcased his power, slugging 20 homers in 201 official at-bats. The 2017 Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 10 at 8:00 PM EST. The event can be watched live on ESPN, and can also be streamed on the WatchESPN app.
