Miller and Ellsbury getting closer to returning
Some big names on the squad are getting closer to 100% health. Left-handed reliever Andrew Miller made 45 throws from 100 feet today, while recovering from his forearm injury. They aren't strenuous pitches, but Miller is making progress toward being an important cog of the Yankees bullpen, and securing the final innings of games. Outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury ran and hit on the field today. He's set to do it again tomorrow. If he looks good and the staff likes what they see, he'll be traveling to Tampa to begin his rehab assignments with the Single-A affiliate. He has been inactive since May 20th after spraining his right knee, where he was hitting .324 with 14 steals.
