Miller to throw off mound Wednesday
Andrew Miller will look to clear another hurdle in his recovery on Wednesday when he's scheduled to throw off a mound for the first time since landing on the DL back on June 10. He played catch on flat ground on June 22, but didn't throw any pitches. Miller suffered a flexor mass strain in his left forearm, likely due to fatigue. He converted his first 17 save opportunities on the season while pitching to a 1.03 ERA. Dellin Betances moved into the closer's role, and is 4-for-4 in save opps. Miller is expected back sometime in mid-July.
