MLB unveils 2018 holiday uniforms
Major League Baseball has unveiled their 2018 lineup of holiday uniforms.
Over the past few years, MLB has gradually expanded their merchandise to observe certain holidays that pop up over the course of the season.
This year's lineup now features special Stance socks to go along with each jersey and cap. Also, for the first time, there will be a special patch and socks to commemorate Jackie Robinson Day.
Below is a brief photo summary of what the Yankees will wear this season, courtesy of sportslogos.net:
Mother's Day will take place on Sunday, May 13. All proceeds from merchandise sales will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to fight breast cancer.
Memorial Day Weekend is May 26-28, and all proceeds will go to programs supporting military veterans, current service men and women, and their families. Fourth of July proceeds will go to the same programs as well.
Father's Day is Sunday, June 17. All Father's Day sales will benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation
Fourth of July is on a Wednesday. The Stars & Stripes caps have been around for a number of years, and this year's version is perhaps the best one yet mainly due to what's on the under-brim:
Jackie Robinson Day will take place on Sunday, April 15. In addition to all players wearing No. 42, they'll also wear this patch and pair of socks:
