The Miami Marlins are looking to add a starting pitcher before the trade deadline, and have interest in acquiring one of the Yankees' starters.

According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports and MLB Network, the Marlins have a list of pitchers they have interest in trading for, including Jeremy Hellickson of the Philadelphia Phillies and Andrew Cashner of the San Diego Padres. To add to Morosi's report, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com says that the Marlins also have interest in trading for Michael Pineda. The 27-year-old could possibly be traded before the deadline, but Morosi notes that the Yankees aren't ready to part ways with him just yet. Pineda could be an interesting trade target for teams looking for a young pitcher with club-control past this season. The 27-year-old has struggled this season, posting a 3-9 record with a 5.56 ERA. Although he has struggled at times, the hard-throwing right hander has shown the ability to be a quality starting pitcher. If the Yankees decide to trade him, Pineda could draw interest from other playoff contenders looking to add depth in their starting rotation. With all the trade rumors, it still appears that the Yankees aren't ready to become sellers before the trade deadline. The next few days will most likely direct what direction the team goes in, but you can officially add Pineda's name to the list of possible Yankees who could be on the move.
