StubHub to become Yankees' official ticket re-seller
Update - 12:00 pm Nothing has changed as far as fans being able to use print-at-home tickets with Yankees President Randy Levine deeming them "obsolete." The reported $100+ million deal between the Yankees and StubHub is for six years and is for mobile-only platform, making the Yankees the only baseball team that has mobile-only ticket delivery. If someone lists a physical ticket on StubHub, it will be turned into a mobile ticket for use. https://twitter.com/jareddiamond/status/747453541548195840 Levine stated the price floor for Yankee tickets on StubHub will be 50% less than the one-year season ticket price of the tickets. Of the 51,000 Yankees tickets on StubHub, it is reported by the StubHub CEO that only about 100 would be affected by the new price floor. Original Post - June 26, 8:40 pm The New York Yankees and StubHub have reached a "landmark deal" that will make StubHub the official ticket re-seller for the team. According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, this deal will undo the deal New York currently has with Ticketmaster. https://twitter.com/darrenrovell/status/747215392578273281 Prior to the 2016 season, the organization pulled the plug on print-at-home tickets meaning fans could only enter Yankee Stadium with a ticket purchased at the box office, on Ticketmaster, or a mobile ticket via the entrant's smartphone. The Yankees will have a joint press conference with StubHub on Monday morning, where the new ticket deal will announced. Updates will be made as more information becomes available.
