Yankees' Aaron Judge out at least three weeks with chip fracture in right wrist

Updated Post: July 26, 11:02 p.m. -- It appears the Yankees will have to play without Aaron Judge for a few weeks. 

The team announced on Thursday night that Judge sustained a chip fracture of his right wrist (ulnar styloid bone) and he won't be able to swing a bat in a game situation for approximately three weeks.  Surgery has not been recommended, according to the Yankees. 

Original Post: July 26, 9:04 p.m. -- Another midsummer trade can't fix this dilemma.

Yankees' outfielder Aaron Judge exited Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals in the fourth inning after taking a pitch to his right hand during an at-bat in the first inning.  Although the 26-year-old stayed in the game following a brief meeting with manager Aaron Boone and trainer Steve Donohue, third baseman Miguel Andujar eventually pinch-hit for Judge three innings later. 

According to multiple reports, Judge was first examined by team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad and then sent to New York-Presbyterian hospital for an MRI and CT scan.  His status is unknown at the moment. 

Should Judge miss a significant amount of time with an injury, the Yankees would sorely miss his production.  In 99 games this season, the two-time All-Star is hitting .285 with 26 home runs, 61 RBI, and a .946 OPS.
