Yankees acquire Lance Lynn from Minnesota
The Yankees have traded first baseman Tyler Austin and pitcher Luis Rijo to the Twins in exchange for starting pitcher Lance Lynn, per Mark Feinsand. The Yankees will pay roughly $2 million remaining on Lynn's contract this year, according to Joel Sherman of the NY Post.

Lynn, 31, signed at the last minute with Minnesota this past offseason and was rushed to begin the season due to the late signing. This led to a dip in his numbers, as he is 7-8 with a 5.10 ERA, although Lynn has a 3.68 ERA in his past four outings. In six and a half seasons, he has compiled a 3.54 ERA between the Twins and Cardinals.
Austin, 26, has been a career minor leaguer having made short stints in the Majors. He owns a .230/.287/.459 career slash line in 85 games with the Yankees with eight home runs. In Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre this year, Austin is hitting .247/.311/.495 with five home runs in 25 games this year with the Rail Riders.
Rijo, 19, has been in the Yankees organization for three years. He's competed as high as High-A Tampa. He is 9-6 with a 2.80 ERA in his tenure with the organization.
Sherman also reported that Lynn will most likely be used as depth, and should be able to help the workload of the other Yankee starters.
