Yankees continue to do their best work under pressure
The 2017 postseason hasn't been easy for the New York Yankees. In fact, for most of their postseason tenure, the Yankees have fallen behind early, only for them to come back in dramatic fashion. During the American League Wild Card game, the Yankees overcame a 3-0 deficit. During the American League Division Series, the Yankees overcame a 2-0 series deficit. Now, the Yankees will try to continue their comeback ways against the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series. The Yankees got off to a slow start, losing the first two games at Minute Maid Park. Then the Yankees returned to the Bronx which is where they've played some of their best postseason baseball. Prior to Monday night's game, the Yankees were 4-0 with a 2.00 ERA at home. To get them back in the series, the Yankees sent CC Sabathia to the mound, who is 10-0 with a 1.69 ERA following a loss. Sabathia's trend continued, as he pitched six scoreless innings in a 8-1 victory. Now, the Yankees are right back in this series, and while it wasn't an elimination game, the team was clearly under pressure. They were one loss away from playing for their season, but the team adjusted against Astros pitching and capitalized on mistakes. The Yankees continue to feel that they're still in this series, and they have a chance of evening the score as Sonny Gray takes the mound on Tuesday afternoon. However, the Yankees have their work cut out for them as Lance McCullers Jr. takes the hill for the Astros. Despite that, the Yankees feel they have the Astros right where they want them, and they're not going home without a fight.
Gardner: "We have a chance, we’re still in this. We just do a good job of picking each other up. Our fans make a big difference for us."

The Yankees have been on a monumental Cinderella run this postseason. But can the Yankees force a Game 6 and weasel their way to a series win? If they played the way they did in Game 3, there's a very good chance the Yankees could play in their first World Series since 2009. They're not called the 'Comeback Kids' for nothing.
