Yankees fall in Texas, Boone ejected for the first time
TEXAS -- The Yankee offense began to show signs late, but it was not enough to overcome a poor start from Domingo German, as New York lost to the Texas Rangers, 6-4, at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
Making his first start since May 13, the young Yankee right-hander was unable to keep pace with Texas starter Cole Hamels, who was stellar in seven strong innings.
Conversely, German lasted got just 11 outs in tonight's start.
Right away, the Rangers took the lead with multiple runs in the first two innings off the game.
Jurickson Profar started the scoring, as he hit a line drive to center field for his third home run of the season, and a 3-0 lead for the Texas.
They then added two more runs in the second with the help of some sloppy pitching from German.
New York finally scored its first run in the third, when Gleyber Torres homered again to cut the lead to four, 5-1.
Ronald Guzman, however, took the run back with a solo shot of his own in the bottom of the fourth.
New York would get two more home runs from Miguel Andujar and Austin Romine but it would not be enough to bring home the victory.

Romine, who hit a two-run shot, came into the game when Gary Sanchez had to be removed from the game due to calf cramps.
Keone Kela pitched an uneventful ninth inning to shut the door on a possible New York comeback.
In the game, Aaron Boone was also ejected for the first time in his managerial career in the sixth inning. He was ejected after arguing balls-and-strikes with Sanchez at-bat.
The Yankees go for the series victory tomorrow, with CC Sabathia facing off against Doug Fister.
Current Yankees Record: 31-14
