Yankees game 114 lineup: 8/7/14

After yesterday’s game, the first decided by more than one run in 17 games, the New York Yankees will look to win the four-game series with the American League Central-leading Detroit Tigers. He is no Cy Young award winner but Rick Porcello is having a great season and will be taking the mound in today’s series finale. On the Yankees side, Shane Greene will take the mound in hopes of carrying on the Yankees winning ways. Like most getaway days, many regulars are not in the lineup. Mark Teixeira, who received stitches for an injury he suffered at home plate, is not in the lineup. For players like Brian McCann and Derek Jeter, this is just a standard off day, nothing to be concerned with. A full preview of today’s game can be seen here.
