Yankees game 130 preview (8/31/15)

Ivan Nova (5-6, 4.50 ERA) opens up the series against Eduardo Rodriguez (7-5, 4.39 ERA) and the rival Red Sox. Nova's last outing against the Astros was one to forget. He gave up seven runs on seven hits through four innings in an eventual 15-1 Yankee beating. This will be his second time facing Boston this year. Back in July, he gave up four runs on eight hits through 6 2/3 taking a loss. He has allowed three or more runs in each of his last four starts.

Rodriguez is coming off seven days rest after giving up four runs (two earned) on seven hits to the Royals. In two career starts against the Yanks, he is 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA and held them to two runs in each outing.

Nova is 2-3 with a 4.91 ERA in six career outings at Fenway.

Alex Rodriguez has three homers in six games in Boston this season.
