Yankees game 82 preview (7/5/15)
We're halfway through the season and Ivan Nova (1-1, 1.50 ERA) goes for the sweep against Erasmo Ramirez (6-3, 4.01 ERA) and the Rays. Nova makes his third start back from the DL after giving up two runs on eight hits through 5 1/3 innings against the Angels. Despite the effort, the offense managed just one run so he took the loss. He is 6-5 with a 3.59 ERA in 82 2/3 innings lifetime against Tampa Bay.
Ramirez came back from a groin strain to throw 5 2/3 innings of one run ball against the Indians. His bull pen went on to give up five runs so he took the loss. He got his first win of the year in his first career start against the Yanks back in May.

The Rays and Yanks wont meet again until September.
Nova has faced the Rays more than any other team in the league with 13 appearances.
Ramirez has a 4.19 ERA against teams with a winning record and a 4.83 ERA against sub .500 teams.
