Yankees game 92 lineup: 7/11/13

Now batting, for the New York Yankees. Number two. Derek..Jeter. Number two. The booming voice of Bob Sheppard will once again fill Yankee Stadium when he introduces Derek Jeter, a fitting honor for the longtime Yankee PA announcer, who passed away on this date three years ago. Jeter returns to the lineup eight months and 28 days after breaking his ankle in Game One of the 2012 ALCS. It's been a long road back for the Captain, especially after he suffered a setback- another crack - in the surgically repaired ankle. After months of rehab he returns to his rightful place atop the order. His return to the field will have to wait, however, as he will DH today due to possible wet conditions.
