Yankees injury report ahead of All-Star break
With under a week until the All-Star Break, several injured Yankees are making progress towards a return in the near future.
Gary Sanchez, who strained his groin at the end of June, took on-field batting practice at Camden Yards ahead of Tuesday's game. He is aiming to get a rehab game in towards the end of the week, meaning a return shortly after the All-Star Break.

Gleyber Torres, who was recently received his first All-Star selection, hit off a tee and lifted weights today. He strained his right hip, and will unfortunately be unable to play. Ken Rosenthal reported that Jed Lowrie will be his replacement. Torres is eligible to be activated from the disabled list on July 14.

Tommy Kahnle, who ultimately was sent down to the Minors due to a significant drop in velocity and poor performance in the Majors, is starting to return to form. He spent some time on the DL at the beginning of the year with shoulder tendonitis and did not seem fully recovered upon being activated. He has a 7.00 ERA in eight appearances this year for the Yankees.
On the other hand, in Triple-A, he is 2-1 with a 1.93 ERA in 14 appearances for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Kahnle has put together a string of strong performances lately, so he should return back to the team at some point.
