According to the source, the 22-year-old UCLA product's right elbow still hurts, and the team is still waiting for Ahmad's full report. Yankees general manager Brian Cashman confirmed Kaprielian's visit. Kaprielian, who was drafted by New York in the first round of the 2015 draft, began this season with 22 strikeouts and a 1.50 ERA in High-A Tampa, but made only three starts before landing on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation on April 26. In a video posted on MLB.com last Friday, Kaprielian has been working out in Tampa since the injury, and told reporters that he was making progress in his health and mechanics. On May 19, Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner expected Kaprielian to return to action in July, but the latest report could result in a setback. Updates on Kaprielian's status are to come when more information is released.
