MLB hot stove: Yankees in 'full pursuit' of Rich Hill
While the Yankees front office has spent the early stages of the offseason formulating a plan to acquire one of baseball's top free-agent closers, one starting pitcher may appear on New York's radar as well. According to ESPN insider Jim Bowden, the Yankees are one of four teams which are in full pursuit of 36-year-old veteran left-hander Rich Hill. The Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers, and Houston Astros are also reportedly in the mix.

Hill, who turns 37 in March, started 20 games between the Oakland Athletics and Dodgers in 2016, finishing with a 12-5 record and 2.12 ERA. In 110.1 innings pitched, Hill earned 129 strikeouts and allowed only 29 runs, holding hitters to a .195 batting average.
