Hicks was placed on the disabled list with a right intercostal muscle strain on March 30 after going 2-for-4 with two strikeouts in a 6-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on March 29th. Since Hicks' injury, the Yankees used Billy McKinney, Jace Peterson and Robinson in his absence. McKinney also suffered an injury during his brief stint with the Yankees. Hicks recently completed a rehab assignment with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, collecting two hits including a double.
