The 22-year-old Severino struggled before he was placed on the DL with a right triceps strain. In his sophomore campaign, the hard-throwing right-hander is 0-6 with an ERA above seven in seven starts. On May 13th, Severino was injured and left a game vs. the Chicago White Sox. After rehabbing, the Yankees have made the decision for the young pitcher to work in the minors. On the injury front, Refsnyder has been called up to replace Ackley. Ackley dislocated his right shoulder after diving back into first base on a pickoff attempt. Following the game on May 29th vs. the Rays, the utility man stayed in Tampa for an MRI and it reviled the dislocation. On the season, Ackley is hitting .148 with four RBI in 61 at-bats. The utility man Refsnyder is back in the big leagues after a quick stint with the team earlier in the season. Refsnyder, 25, has been to the plate three times with the Yankees this season, knocking in two runs on a double. He is a career .304 hitter in the majors in 46 at-bats.
