Yankees roster moves: 7/25/15

The Yankees have made a couple of roster moves Saturday afternoon ahead of their 7:10 pm ET game with the Twins.
RHP Nick Goody has been called up from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Branden Pinder was sent down. Also, INF Gregorio Petit was designated for assignment.
Goody's emerged as a top bullpen arm in the Yankees system recently. He started this season in Double-A and was called up to Triple-A on July 6. Goody went a combined 1-2 with a 1.68 ERA over 48.1 innings between the two levels. Pinder appeared in 11 games for the big league club, giving up 12 hits in 12.1 IP while allowing 4 ER.
Goody figures to get a good look from manager Joe Girardi and GM Brian Cashman. The Yankees could have simply called up a fresh bullpen arm from Scranton that was already on the 40-man roster instead.
It hasn't been announced yet if Goody will make it to Minnesota in time for tonight's game.
