Yankees Set Rotation

Yankees manager Joe Girardi officially set the club's five-man rotation on Monday. With right-hander Michael Pineda going on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis, it made the decision a lot easier for Girardi. Before Pineda went on the disabled list, Girardi had to choose from four starters (Phil Hughes, Ivan Nova, Freddy Garcia and Michael Pineda) who were fighting for the final three spots in the rotation.
C.C. Sabathia and Hiroki Kuroda had already secured a spot in the rotation before Monday's announcement.
