Yankees sign RHP Sergio Santos

The Yankees have signed relief pitcher Sergio Santos.

Santos had a 4.73 ERA with 15 strikeouts and seven walks in 13.1 IP (12 appearances) for the Dodgers this year before being designated for assignment.

Arm injuries in each of the last three seasons has kept him from pitching a full season in the majors since 2011.

He will report to Double-A Trenton to show his stuff and get a chance at the Bigs. Should he make the team, he will give the pen a much needed righty.

In his six years in the Majors, he is 7-12 with a 3.95 ERA, 224 K's and 88 walks in 180 innings.
