Yankees to wear special caps on Mother's Day
As Major League Baseball goes to bat against breast cancer, all 30 teams will once again use pink bats and equipment and wear pink gear on Mother's Day. As this tradition continues, the league announced that a new set of pink gear will be used by every major league team for the first time this season.

All 30 major league teams will wear pink caps on Mother's Day, which will feature the exact template of the Yankee hat shown above. For this one special day, the Yankees will not wear their tradition blue hats with the white logo, but will instead wear these gray caps with the pink logo. Since 2006, Major League Baseball has teamed up with the Stand Up To Cancer and Susan G. Komen Foundations in the support of the fight against breast cancer. Since Major League Baseball started using pink bats on Mother's Day in 2006, the league has expanded their plans to support this cause, including their Honorary Bat Girl Program. This year, Mother's Day is on Sunday, May 8. On that evening, the Yankees will take on the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball.
